Dr. Franklin has extensive specialized training in forensic psychology, and has testified in multiple jurisdictions in Washington, California, Utah, Arizona, and Alaska. She serves on the court-appointed expert panels of Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco and other California counties, and conducts risk assessment evaluations of mentally disordered offenders for the State of California. With more than 20 years of experience interfacing with the criminal justice system and holding psychology licenses in two states, she has been retained as an expert in a broad range of criminal and civil forensic evaluations.

FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP
Extensive specialized training at the Washington Institute for Mental Illness Research & Training of the University of Washington, in one of only a dozen such postdoctoral training programs in the nation. The program included rigorous didactic training in mental health law topics, a neuroscience tutorial, and more than 2000 hours of forensic practice on topics including competency, criminal responsibility (sanity), juvenile evaluations, high-conflict child custody evaluations, and correctional mental health.
